Lynette was born in 1955. Matriculated in 1973 and received her B.A (Fine Arts) Painting, at the University of Pretoria in 1978. She lives in Pretoria and lectures art on a part time basis at the Univ. of Pretoria .
She is a member of the Society of Designers of South Africa (SDSA) as well as being a board member of the Pretoria Art Association and a member of the Friends of the Pretoria Art Museum.
