Mark Enslin

Mark currently resides in Gauteng. He first started selling his work at the age of 15. In 1974 he obtained a Diploma in Graphic Design at the Johannesburg Technikon and went on to lecture there for several years after graduation.

In 1975, aged 23, Mark held his first one-man exhibition. To date he has had over 50 solo exhibitions in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, California, Australia, Germany, Japan and England. His works are to be found in the collections of banking and mining institutions and the Rumanian Embassy.

In 1989 Mark designed a series of stamps for the Venda Government. Commissions include a large painting for the ‘Foundation for Research and Development’ (1993), works for BMW’s boardroom (1993) and large works for His Majesty King Mtswati of Swaziland (1994), and a one-man exhibition he was revered to hold at the SA Association of Arts in Pretoria (1996). In 1997, Liberty Life Johannesburg, commissioned Mark to paint 5 large landscapes for their new Training Centre.

Mark’s work is original and versatile.
